On October 8, 2022 President Connie Siegel attended the dedication ceremony for the time capsule prepared by the board of EC 250 and the Time Capsule Committee. Not only was the ceremony held in front of the Merryman Street Cabin which our organization originally restored in 1980-1988, but we included our spiral bound Heritage Newletter Reprint, some 2022 Oakdale Showhouse Warfield History room photos, and the “Trolley at Fels Lane” print by Vice President, Wiley Purkey. The glorious fall day welcomed local elected officials, and a surprise visit from David Ellicott a direct descendant of Andrew Ellicott! Historic Ellicott City, Inc. has been proud to be a sponsor and active participant in the EC 250 Celebration and we hope all will enjoy the upcoming musical “On National Road” in December.
