Celebrating our Annual Membership meeting in Cinco De Mayo style, members enjoyed tasty margaritas, beer and wine along with sandwiches, chips, salsa, guacamole and desserts.

We held our meeting at the Dorsey Search Village Center and found it to be a welcoming and elegant atmosphere.  We had hoped the weather would have allowed us to venture onto the wonderful patio beckoning beyond, but alas Mother Nature had other plans.

We held the election of Officers, Directors and Advisors, and shared our accomplishments of the prior year, of which our 50th anniversary party(October 2023) was the highlight.  We continue to look for a suitable showhouse, which has been our primary fundraising mechanism since 1984, but it continues to elude us.

We also seek to find a preservation project to support.   We have a hard working and enthusiastic board who pitches in at every turn.  We held two cooperative teas (with the Howard County Historical Society), our first in November 2023 and our second in February 2024. We’re looking forward to continuing this partnership as a boost to the visibility of both of our organizations in the County.

We produced “A Walk Through Historic Ellicott City” a fold out walking tour map of the historical sites along Main Street with funding help from EC250 Legacy grant of Patapsco Heritage Greenway, which is placed in public locations such as the Miller Library, the Ellicott City B & O Train Museum and Backwater Books.
