HEC Relocates Old Town Farmers Market

UPDATE (10/1/2016): The Ellicott City Old Town Market is back to its location at the parking lot of the Wine Bin.  HEC was pleased to serve as the Market’s host at Mt. Ida while old town was recovering from the flood, but as recovery efforts have progressed, the vendors are excited to move back to their original location.  Join them for the rest of October from 9 am to 1 pm.

Original Announcement (8/13/16): HEC is pleased to announce that the Ellicott City Old Town Market will be back in a new location starting Saturday, August 13th.  HEC has arranged for the Market to take place in the parking lot and on the grounds of the historic Mt.Ida mansion next to the Courthouse on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm*, until further notice this market season. This Saturday, August 13th, Mt. Ida will be open for tours.  All proceeds will go to HEC’s dedicated flood restoration fund.  Admission is $4.00 for adults. $2.00 for students. Children under 12 admitted FREE.  Tickets purchased at the door.  Cash, please!

Mt. Ida is the home of the administrative offices of both Historic Ellicott City, Inc. and the Friends of the Patapsco Female Institute.  HEC opens the doors to Mt. Ida from 11:00 to 3:00 on the second Saturday of every month from June to November for tours.  The dates remaining for this year are: August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12.
